Copy of Catrin Skött Art
On the canvas, eyes, figures, and shapes appear in different colors and shapes. It's so exciting to see what will happen. It feels like all the years that I have painted in different materials and techniques on commission have been a preparation for what is now coming to light. That's how the "Rays of love collection" came about. Since many have wanted to buy the paintings, my husband Andrés Skött has photographed all my art so that more people can see them through various products with motifs from my paintings in the webshop. Fine art prints, posters, pillows and more.
Creation and curiosity have always been with me in one way or another, starting an art school in 1995 followed by decorative painting education and an internship at a conservation company. I have been employed for 20 years as a decorative painter and colorist at one of Stockholm's largest painting companies.
The Royal Palace in the Old Town, the Court Stables, the Sager House, Rosenbad, Gripsholm Castle, the Church, and the Natural History Museum are some of the places I have done decorative painting.
When I started my own company in 2019, the joy of creation took on new momentum. I "just do", paint to curiously see what comes out on the canvas. Just like I do when I give medial guidance and healing or channel through writing. I have written a book channeled through Archangel Gabriel where the paintings are included called "An easier way to go" which is published by Förlagshuset Siljans måsar.
What I do has nothing to do with any particular religion or category. I speak from my innermost being and the truth I have come to know by searching for answers within myself. When we peel off all our layers and let silence be our guide, we have the opportunity to discover the light that lives within each of us. On my life's journey, I am now exploring that light which brings me true joy.
I have recently completed an assignment for Gripsholm Castle. through the Swedish Real Estate Board where I painted/recreated a silk damask wallpaper for the Queen's little cabinet which is now available for the public to see at the palace.
During the summers I hold courses in Mandala Painting , Vedic Art on my farm outside Rättvik by the shores of Siljan, otherwise in Stockholm. There we share the tranquility and joy of creation for a couple of days without any requirements. You can book your time for the summer course 2025.
